Plating Manufacturing Engineering ManagerLocation:
Alajuela, Costa Rica
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall management, direction and coordination of the Plating Lab, WW and R&D. Provide global leadership in the areas of quality, cost and service.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
• Leads execution of global long range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning and installation.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve quality and reduce scrap
• Help to develop improvements in gold conservation and flexibility in the plating area. This includes expansion of capabilities and standardization of processes and equipment.
• Maintain compliance to all ISO, QS, safety and OSHA standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• To have 20/40 correctable vision, capable of lifting 25 lbs. from floor to waist, full use of all digits, capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 90 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
• Must be willing to work in a chemical environment.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have history of having successful problem solving.
• Must have strong organization skills.
• Ability to accomplish daily tasks as well as manage long term projects.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and learn quickly required.
• Must possess strong leadership skills, prior lead or supervisory experience a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and closely coordinate with peers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• BS Degree in Technical or Science Degree.
• On the job experience can supplement or replace educational background.
