Samtec’s BullsEye™ test point system is a low cost, high performance test point system that eliminates the need for expensive SMA connectors on production boards. Rated at 20GHz at -3dB insertion loss, the BullsEye™ system has about the same performance of a traditional SMA, but at 10% or less of the cost.  An inexpensive microwave cable adaptor (RF25M) attaches to the existing SMA cable on the test equipment, then to a plastic housing (CCH) on the board via a compression tip with locking features.  A conductive elastomeric inside the plastic housing allows  the ground to transfer to the board in the same manner as it would in an SMA. The plastic housings use the exact footprint as an SMA, but take up only half the space and weigh much less.  The system is available in single or multi-port designs, or as a high-density ganged connector.  For more information contact BullsEye™
