| Samtec
has announced the addition of a high retention Type B USB interface
(USBR-B
Series) that complies with the class 1, Div II minimum withdrawal
requirement of 15 Newtons. This
connector has an orange color-coded insulator to differentiate it from
standard withdrawal force connectors (USB
Series) that are available
with white or black plastic.
These USB connectors
are available in surface mount and through-hole designs with a choice
of standard right-angle or vertical top-entry orientation. In
addition to B Type connectors, Samtec also carries a full line of A Type
and mini USB interfaces and standard (USBC
Series) and custom cable assemblies.
Samtec’s full line of I/O interfaces includes D-Subs, Mod Jacks,
Firewire and USB, and Mini-DINs. In addition, Samtec has a large
variety of Panel-to-Panel systems for High Speed and Rugged I/O applications.
