Samtec has implemented Lighting Improvement
projects throughout the company in 2010 that have signifigantly
reduced our environment impact.
The company has installed 150 high efficiency light fixtures that
will save a total of 306,000 kilowatts per year, and reduce our
carbon
footprint by 600 pounds per year.
For 2011, the project will be expanded as we will upgrade the
lighting in our Plating Facility for an estimated energy savings of
$27,000 annually. These upgrades will reduce our carbon
footprint by another 600 pounds per year.
